Robert has over 40 years of experience with nearly every aspect of public and private transportation operations, maintenance, and administration. Robert first started his transit career in 1977 with McDonald Transit Associates, Inc., a transit management firm that provides services for bus, rail, and paratransit systems that was founded in 1972.
Robert worked his way up the organization, serving many roles such as General Manager of Abilene Transit System, Executive Director of Nashville MTA, and Chief Financial Officer until becoming President of McDonald Transit in 2002. Under Robert’s leadership, McDonald Transit expanded it operations to 17 states, providing transit services to 32 fixed route, paratransit, and shuttle clients.
